ali durt morimoto, founder of the fan club orchestra japan, is also a talented craftsman. he shares a beautifull workshop with his mother in kobe, japan. he made these beautifull stained glasses for an exhibition in a supermarket in tokyo, They are obtained by contact between plants and glass, the plants go into the oven with the glass. their desintegration leaves the white marks. the question is : will he accept disciples?.

silenceradio.org put on line a rare recording from sun ok papi k.o., the track is called: "DC#02 not qualified for the sound poetry contest" and was recorded in 2003 by using a small tape recorder and by dropping spontaneous collages for a sound poetry contest under the tittle :"collage doomage". here is the english translation of the texte: "we had organised a sound poetry contest, sun papa had answered with a track called "doomage collage", familly and friends came with mouth noises, magic formulas and metal tracks on guitar...But this track didn't pass the first qualification! upset sun ok papi k.o. changed the titel. After all we like it anyway"... ok thank you jury.
BTW they forgot to say that the track was taking part on the great noodles compilation vol.7 which is still avaible here.

in spain mathias found a bag with 70 used tapes on the street. They had various lenghts and logo's. He asked sun ok papi k.o. to do a dj set for one side, and he did the other side himself under the name dj simon marino. mathias copied the dj sets on each tape, both sides and made a cool design. one side A: DJ sun ok papi k.o. "the give one copy to john cage mix" and side B: DJ simon marino "the quiet riot tape". if you want a free copy !, drop a mail to mathias. here , be fast. deleted

the test pressing of the rbdx 04, Quentin Hanon "B-movie/B-blood" has arrived this week, the sound is warm and punchy, cut by rashad at dubplates & mastering.tracks are: 80000 volts, château hanté and wispy waspy on side A and post post-it, devastator, terlude on side B. the official release is for october and it will be limited to a 500 copies.

arafab dropped me this crazy 'mc+dj' recording + (new ! side a) from the most powerfull team ever: wiley kat and dizzee + dj slimzee, this recording looks like it is comming from 02' from the east london heartless crew pirate radio show. it's short and really intense, the first 15 minutes are pure genius, big metalic clap, percussive oï bass, dangerous and addictive 'pulse x' beat. music will never sound the same.

konono n°1 live at brussels! they did a great gig in a kind of big railway hall museum in Brussels. There were also a big brass band called "Kibanguiste" who made destructif sound in all ranges frequencies.
Too BIG is Jean Rouch 1 2 this man is a total genius who invented some kind of "ethno-fiction" movie and fucked up all the filming techniques in the 50'/60'. Looking at the first 5 min. of "a bout de souffle" by JLG you can really feel the big influence he had on the "nouvelle vague". cut "a l'arrache", not using the stand to shoot, not working with a classic scenario but rather day to day improv, he didn't care about cinema rules. He made innovative dubbings with sounds and voices. My favorite films are"Jaguar"1954-1967, "Moi, Un Noir"1959, "Les maîtres fous / The Mad Masters"1954, "La chasse au lion / The Lion Hunters" 1965.

Listen to this massive speedy dj set part 1, part 2 by dj eye (from boredoms)! I received this copy from afro jabbba, without special info, exept that it was taken from an analogue tape. It looks as if it were comming from the mid 90's Puting everything at +8/45 rpm is really a style in itself. Speeding amerie "1 thing" in a UKG refix is really rad. Wrong speed with bicycle is nice also.
